How to use

Check supported input/output details and follow the tool steps before exporting.

01

Drop or select a 3D model, or try the sample.

02

Choose a camera (Isometric, Top-down, Side view or Three-quarter) or set directions, elevation and projection yourself.

03

Pick the frame size and, for an animated model, the clip and frames per direction.

04

Click Render, then check every direction in the Frames view as it plays.

05

Optionally turn on the pixel-art look, choose your engine's format, and download the sprite sheet or PNG frames.

In-browser 3d to sprite rendering

  • Runs entirely in your browser — files never leave your device.
  • 1, 4, 8, 16, or 32 directions with configurable elevation and start offset.
  • Orthographic or perspective projection.
  • Animation clip support — render any animation frame range.
  • Exports to all TexturePacker-compatible engine formats plus PNG-sequence ZIP.
🎯

Generate sprite sheets for game engines from 3d models

  • Generate 8-direction sprites for a top-down RPG.
  • Render isometric sprites from a GLB character model.
  • Create sprite sheets from animated GLB files for a 2D game engine.

About

About 3D to Sprite Renderer

How to render 3d models into sprite sheets in your browserIn-browser 3d to sprite renderingGenerate sprite sheets for game engines from 3d models

Configure directions and elevation

Choose 1, 4, 8, 16, or 32 directions and set the elevation angle for top-down, isometric, or side-scrolling perspectives. A start offset rotates the first direction.

The camera sweeps evenly around the Y axis at the configured elevation, producing one frame per direction.

Check the frame budget before rendering

The Frame Budget panel shows total frames, estimated atlas dimensions, and memory usage before the job starts. The renderer enforces a 512-frame cap and a 4096×4096×4-page pixel limit.

Adjust directions, frame size, or frames per direction until the budget is valid, then click Render.

Export to game engine format

Completed frames are packed into one or more atlas sheets using the shared TexturePacker packer. Export to Unity Native, Godot, Phaser, GameMaker, or any other supported engine format — or download a PNG-sequence ZIP for custom processing.

Frame data files are always included alongside the atlas images.

FAQ

Common questions.

Have more questions? Reach out via our contact page and we will respond within 24 hours.

Do my 3D files upload to a server?

No. The 3D to Sprite Renderer runs entirely in your browser and never sends your files to a server.

Which 3D formats are supported?

GLB, glTF (with its files or as a ZIP), FBX, OBJ, STL, PLY, USDZ and the other formats the 3D Model Viewer opens.

Which game engine formats can I export?

Unity, Godot, Phaser, GameMaker, CSS sprites and JSON as a packed sheet with frame data, or a ZIP of PNG frames.

How do I get true isometric sprites?

Choose the Isometric (2:1) camera: orthographic, 30° down and eight directions on the diagonals, which makes a square floor tile twice as wide as it is tall.

What does the pixel-art look do?

It snaps each frame to a coarser pixel grid, reduces every frame to one shared palette so animations do not flicker, and can add an outline. It runs after rendering, so you can adjust it without rendering again.

What is the frame limit?

Up to 512 frames in total (directions × animation frames) and a sheet budget of four 4096 × 4096 pages.
