About Video to Frames

Choose the frames

Set the part of the video and how often to take a frame, from one every ten seconds to every frame.

Choose the files

Save JPG for small files or PNG for exact pixels, at the original size or smaller, numbered in order in one ZIP.

Local and honest

Frames are decoded with your browser's own decoders. The number of frames is limited so the ZIP fits in your device's memory.

FAQ

Common questions.

Have more questions? Reach out via our contact page and we will respond within 24 hours.

Is my video uploaded?

No. Frames are decoded and saved in your browser, and the video never leaves your device.

How many frames can I save at once?

Up to 1,000 on a computer and 500 on a phone, fewer at large sizes in PNG, because every frame is held until the ZIP is written.

JPG or PNG?

JPG files are much smaller and fine for most uses; PNG keeps every pixel exactly.

Can I save every frame?

Yes. Choose every frame and the tool takes the video's own frame rate.

How are the files named?

frame-0001.jpg, frame-0002.jpg and so on, in order.
