✨

Private, exact social video resizing

  • Runs on your device, so private videos are never uploaded.
  • The preview shows exactly what the export will contain.
  • Never enlarges a small video, which only adds blur.
  • The audio is copied untouched.
🎯

One video, every platform shape

  • Turn a landscape clip into a vertical Reel or Short.
  • Make a square version of a video for a feed post.
  • Fit a phone video into 16:9 for YouTube without black bars.
  • Crop a talk to keep the speaker centred in 9:16.

About Social Video Resizer

Fit or fill

Fit keeps the whole frame and fills the space around it with a blurred, darkened copy of the video (with a strength setting), a solid colour, or your own image. Zoom and drag position the picture.

Fill crops the frame to the new shape. Drag the preview, or use the focus sliders, to choose the part that stays; the focus stays fixed unless you turn on “Follow the person”, which moves the crop smoothly with them.

Platform sizes, never enlarged

Each shape is exported at the platform size, 1080 pixels on the shorter side, when your video has the detail for it.

A smaller video keeps the same shape at its own scale instead of being enlarged, because enlarging only makes the picture softer and the file bigger.

Local processing and clear limits

Every frame is redrawn and re-encoded on your device by the browser's own encoder, so nothing is uploaded. The audio is copied as it is.

Desktop browsers handle files up to 2 GB, phones and tablets up to 250 MB. Redrawing every frame takes time on long or 4K videos, so the export shows how long is left.

FAQ

Common questions.

Have more questions? Reach out via our contact page and we will respond within 24 hours.

Is my video uploaded?

No. The video is read, redrawn, and encoded in your browser, and the file never leaves your device.

Which shapes can I make?

9:16 for Reels, Shorts, and TikTok; 1:1 for square feeds; 4:5 and 3:4 for portrait feeds; 2:3 for Pinterest; 4:3 for slides; 16:9 for YouTube; or a custom width and height. Several shapes can be made in one run and saved together in a ZIP.

What is the difference between the modes?

Fit with a blurred background shows the whole frame over a soft, blurred copy of itself. Fit with colour bars shows the whole frame over a solid colour. Fill crops the frame to the new shape, and you choose which part stays by dragging the preview or with the focus sliders.

What size is the output?

The platform size, 1080 pixels on the shorter side, when that does not enlarge your video. A smaller video keeps the same shape at its own scale, because enlarging adds no detail.

Does the focus follow movement?

It can. With “Crop to fill”, turn on “Follow the person”: an on-device model finds the person and the crop moves smoothly with them. Without it, the focus stays where you put it.

Is the audio changed?

No. The audio is copied untouched.
